Hi Everyone, I’m Johnny B (John Barkley) your host of the Carolina Beach Party Radio Network that airs Friday on 1050 WLON Lincolnton, NC (hrnb.com) and Saturday 91.7 WSGE (wsge.org). For the past several years I have been hearing of this great reunion of 60’s…I think what you all have is very unique and gratifying way of preserving the music, the dance and most all the memories of then and even the new ones..Over the past few years on my radio shows I have started tagging “Harding~West” and the reunion to the conclusion of one of those great 60’s songs…I just wish that I could have been there with you all when it was all going down..What an incredible time that must have been..I hope you all have a great time at the reunion.. This year I will be in North Myrtle Beach during the time of the reunion. Mike “Tiny” Femster that helps me with my radio shows will be with me. We will be at Ducks Thursday night and would love to say hello..On Friday, The Avista Hotel (where we’re staying) has allowed us to play some music pool side from 12 Noon – 2pm(or longer)..We would love for you to stop by meet and greet with other members of the reunion..We’ll be playing some great shag tunes and some classics from the 60’s..If you get a chance, come see us..Thank you again for the support of the reunion, music and dance..Have a safe trip to and from.. Sincerely; Johnny B Carolina Beach Party

After graduating from NC State College, I taught math at Harding the first five years ('62-'67) of my 47 year career which is not over yet. I have a contract to teach next year, my 36th year, at Charlotte Country Day School. I Have many fond memories of all those I taught or worked with including all my classes, The Imperatores, The National Honor Society, and the Math and Chess Clubs at Harding during the mid-sixties and would like to touch base with any of you who might feel inspired to do so to find out how life has been for you since those golden days. Best Wishes, Tim Timson
had a strange but wonderful dream/memory in a warm hazy part of my day...about Peggy Dolan, one of our classmates for only a short time i believe in 64. such a beautiful creature from Texas whose life was cut short by vermin we should have set fire to. she was my friend, and i hope to many more...search your "hard drives", and raise all glasses to toast her honor and her memory Charlie!
"Here's to you, Peggy..ALWAYS!" Charlie!
Can it be? Only 9 weeks to the reunion. I am so excited about seeing everyone again, you would think it was my first time, instead of my sixth. As I run into people around town and ask...are you going to the reunion? You see the head start shaking and the big smile come on their faces. Folks, that's what it is all about. If you have been telling yourself you need to go, but you haven't rsvp'd...do it now. You won't regret it. There are too many people there who will make sure you feel welcome and have a good time. Got my shagging shoes ready....O. D. here we come.
Just checking for any 1960 graduates from Harding.

Hi West Meck . Graduates! Have a fantastic time this 2012 reunion. Will miss visiting with you. Hope to see all and my fellow 1969 graduates next yr. God Bless all.
Well Westsiders, it's almost here, the biggest, badest, animal party of the year, staring wild people from the west side ofCharlotte who know how to really have fun and raise a little hell while doing it!!!As the owner of Duck's, this is my favorite party because I not only get to see old friends from my days at Wilson Jr. High, but a lot of the people that I grew up with and are still friends with after so many years. And,I have the great pleasure of meeting so many new friends. If you haven't made up your minds yet to come and renew old high school friendships, and have a wonderful time being "young" again, then make the decision now and sign up and come party with all of your other classmates to have the time of your life. No excuses accepted, just come on down and be ready to party with the "best of the best".......Westsiders, it don't get no better then this!!! THE NUMBER 1 HIGH SCHOOL REUNION IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!!!Love ya all, see you next Thursday!!!David
David, thank's so much for our invite, My lovely bride and I, were the people that went back to Beantown the day you and your other half, had the motorcycle mishap on that Sunday. Love ya much , see ya soon.-- WW
