April 2, 2023

Dear Harding/West ‘60s classmates,

Last December, Ducks was sold because one of the owners was dealing with some serious medical issues. He and his wife, Robin, were unable to devote the time necessary to manage Ducks in the way they felt was needed.

Also, last year was the first reunion we had since 2019 due to Covid restrictions. Our attendance was just a bit above half of our historic average. Some folks stayed home and took a “wait and see” approach. They wanted to see how well those who attended did insofar as coming home ill. We’re happy to say no one reported getting sick last year.

Some may have lost their enthusiasm for our reunions due to the three years between our ’19 reunion and our ’22 reunion. Still others may be less able to muster the energy to spend three days and nights reconnecting with friends. Too many candles on our birthday cakes can have that effect.

Whatever the reason, we collectively need to show the new owner that he can justify opening Ducks exclusively for us on their normally closed days. While we can proudly point to past numbers of attendees in excess of 600 each year, that does nothing for him today.

On March 1st, you were sent an email survey from your 2023 planning committee. The one question was, “if we plan a Harding/West ‘60s Reunion for October ’23, will you likely attend?” The responses received from everyone tallied up to 320 classmates and guests. We understand some folks might attend, but didn’t bother to respond. At the end of the day, 320 is the only number we can count on.

In life, we sometimes come to the realization that things we take for granted are not forever. We’ve all had things happen around us that seemed surprising in the moment. Later, we look back and say the signs were there. Perhaps this is happening now.

Regardless, your 2023 planning committee met on March 26th to consider everything. The decision was made to move forward with plans for a 2023 Harding West Reunion at Ducks. The dates are Sunday, Monday & Tuesday, October 15, 16 & 17. We are going to go all out to make this one as memorable as possible.

Looking ahead, you can expect to see online registration and payment activated on our website on or about June 1st. You will be given ample notice of the actual date ahead of time.

For those who prefer lodging at the Avista Resort, they are once again providing preferred rates for our folks. You may call 1-843-249-2521 to make reservations beginning today. You should give them our group code # 3039508 at the beginning of the conversation.

Bonus: You may extend your stay for up to three days before and three days after our reunion dates at our special rates. It is my understanding they are already booking other groups heavily for the times we’ll be there, so just a word to the wise…don’t wait too long to book. Availability may get tight.

In the near future you will see a list of reunion activities posted on our website. Check often for that.

We hope this news brings a smile to many westsider’s faces.

Your 2023 Planning Committee

March 30, 2022

From 2004 until 2019, the Harding West ‘60s Reunion thrived. Classmates from both schools and all of the ‘60s classes forged a bond that others could only envy.

For three days and nights in October, up to 700 registered classmates and guests came together. For that short time each year, memories flowed along with happy tears. Tears of joy and remembrance.

Then, in 2020 the world was introduced to Covid. Life, as we knew it, changed. No longer were we comfortable indoors with lots of people. As a result of this new mindset, and for the first time in our reunion’s history, our 2020 Harding West ‘60s Reunion was cancelled.

Early in 2021, your reunion planning committee met with optimism for that year. Plans were established, reservations were made, everyone’s excitement grew. Then, just beyond mid-year, a spike in Covid removed the enthusiasm. We surveyed our classmates. All were asked if they would likely attend in October if we had the reunion. A large number of folks said no. They were uncomfortable once again with being inside with a large number of people. Reluctantly, the ’21 reunion was cancelled. The health of our classmates and guests was the key consideration in that decision.

On March 20th, 2022 your planning committee convened. With optimism and enthusiasm, plans for a 2022 reunion were initiated. Thanks to our longtime partnership with Duck’s Night Life  in Ocean Drive, we have been invited to come together on October 16, 17, and 18. That’s on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

By having the reunion on the days Duck’s is normally closed, we have been given exclusivity to the club. No public will be permitted inside. This alone will keep the numbers inside down and make for a more safe and comfortable environment for all of us.

Your committee has made some firm decisions regarding what we will be doing each day. Anticipating a smaller attendance, some of our traditional activities cannot be supported financially. On a positive note, this will allow more time for us to visit, reconnect and enjoy time with one another in a quieter setting. Details of our planned activities will be forthcoming.

Our partnership with The Avista Resort for discounted accommodations is still intact. Special room rates have been locked in. When you are ready to make your reservations, contact them at 1-855-223-7104. Be sure to have our group code # 2781956 handy. A limited number of rooms are available for our attendees. Please do not share this with anyone who is not a part of our reunion.

For now, we hope you will help us bring back our special reunion. Most of us probably took for granted that we would always have them. We learned a harsh lesson. Let’s turn the corner on this now and return to Ocean Drive along with the special memories and friendships of our youth.

Watch for periodic updates.

In the bond,

August 3, 2021

Fellow Harding & West ‘60s alumni,

October 17 – 19, 2021 is fast approaching. These dates are on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

We are down to 4 weeks and counting for those who wish to pre-register for the 2021 Harding West ‘60s Reunion! (September 1st is the deadline) As of today, we are exactly where we were in 2019 in terms of the number of pre-registrants. Apparently, since we took off last year (not our choice), many of you are anxious to see one another again.

Your planning committee will be meeting in a couple of weeks to tie a ribbon around our plans for October. The “Reunion Activities” list will be on our website soon. But, there may be a little tweaking to do at our upcoming meeting. One thing you will notice, though. There will be much more time for mingling than ever before. After all, that’s what reunions are for.

So, go ahead and visit our website now to get your registration out of the way. Be sure to read all of the instructions carefully BEFORE you start the process. It will be much easier if you do.

We will NOT be mailing packets this year. If you pre-register, your packet containing your name tag(s) will be waiting for you at Duck’s. Just come in to the registration desk and we’ll hand it to you.

For those who wish to book lodging at The Avista, call 1-877-238-4487 and tell them you want to use group code # 2620233. This will get you our preferred rate. Remember…you can extend your stay up to three days before or three days after our reunion dates at our rate.

Check our website https://hardingwestreunion.myevent.com occasionally for updates. If you are on Facebook, join our Facebook reunion page at Harding West ‘60s Reunion. Updates are posted there as well.

We will be observing all applicable health precautions in effect at the time of our reunion.

See you at the beach!

Your 2021 Planning Committee

May 16, 2021

Fellow Harding & West classmates,

As promised, here is some additional information regarding our 2021 Harding West ‘60s Reunion. We are optimistic that you will like what we are planning on your behalf.

We will gather on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, October 17 – 19, 2021. The owners of Duck’s have graciously agreed to open on these days exclusively for our reunion. Bear in mind, Duck’s is usually closed on these days, so this is a huge accommodation for us. Let’s not take it for granted.

Approximately 325 folks indicated in our survey they would likely attend if we were to have a reunion in October. Given that this is about 50% of our normal attendance, we have found it necessary to re-format our reunion in anticipation of much lower revenues. Over the years we provided many different activities for our attendees that cannot be sustained by this reduction in revenue.

The most notable change will be that we will not have a live band to wrap up Tuesday night for us. Instead, we will enjoy our last evening doing what we came to do…catch up with old friends and make some new ones. There will be music provided by our deejay, but it will not drown out our conversations.

We will not have a catered barbecue for lunch on Tuesday. Instead, we encourage everyone to enjoy a nice meal at Duck’s Café. This will save you from having to go off-premises to find a meal, affording you more time to mingle with your friends.

Duck’s is working on providing us with a special deal on their famous flounder dinner. The details have not been finalized, as yet.

For the 48 or so golfers who usually gather for a round on Friday mornings, we will forego a planned event this year. Instead, those who wish to play will be able to set up their own match at any course of their choosing and at any time that suits them. With an anticipated reduction of 50% in attendance, the usual 48 golfers would likely be reduced to about 24 golfers. Six foursomes is just too few to shop for a deal, we’re sorry to say.

These are the most notable changes you might expect to see. Keep in mind that all of these things can be viewed as positives, since it opens up more time for visiting with one another. We will still have our veteran’s tribute and other activities. Details will be forthcoming.

With the elimination of some of our traditional activities, you might reasonably expect to see a reduction in “ticket” costs. Well…you would be right to do so! Instead of the usual $30.00 for pre-registration, our 2021 cost will be $25.00 per person. For those unable to pre-register, the price at the door will be $35.00 per person instead of $45.00.

Near the very end of May or early June, we will initiate pre-registration on our website at www.hardingwestreunion.myevent.com. As in the past, this will remain available until September 1st, giving everyone three months to take advantage of the savings. After September 1st, you will have to pay at the door when you arrive at Ducks. To further justify the lower ticket prices, we will revert to having a will-call process whereby you pick up your name tag & food voucher when you arrive at Ducks. You still save lots of time by not standing in line to fill out the registration form and wait for name tags to be printed, etc.

The Avista Resort has agreed to furnish our group with a select number of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom condos with special pricing. In fact, they held the prices from 2020 for this year. In another week or so, our group code number will be sent to you to enable you to make your reservations.

We hope you are as excited by this news as those of us who are planning it are. As many said in response to our survey, “we just want to be able to get together with one another again”.

In the Bond,

Your 2021 Reunion Committee

July 14, 2020

Dear Harding West alumni of the ‘60s,

On Sunday, July 12th, your reunion planning committee met. We had a very frank discussion about this year’s Harding West ‘60s Reunion. Should we have it or not?

Our primary focus was aimed at the health and well-being of our classmates attending the reunion. Since we cannot know what the future holds, insofar as any continued escalation of cases or governmental restrictions due to Covid-19, our unanimous decision is to cancel this year’s reunion.

Those who have attended know that many folks love hugging and shaking hands with dear friends. Dancing is also a huge deal for some attendees. Not being able to do things we have taken for granted would take so much away from the reunion experience.

This was not an easy decision to make. In fact, some were clearly emotional as the reality set in. But, in the future we want to be able to look back and say we did the right thing. We want to be able to say “we did not put anyone at risk.” We sincerely hope you agree.

Several days prior to our meeting, I had a conversation with the owners of Ducks. Among the things discussed was “what if this year’s reunion is cancelled? Will Ducks consider hosting us in 2021?” The reply was a simple but reassuring “Yes”. The Porters have been so cooperative, but they are also very aware of what is going on. They understand our position as a committee and fully support our decision. In fact, Robin asked me what next year’s reunion dates are. She immediately put us on their 2021 calendar of events!!

For those who have already registered and paid, a refund by check will be forthcoming within the next couple of weeks. Arrangements must be made with the company that processes our online payments to reimburse us for the funds collected thus far. Once done, we can issue refund checks. For those who registered and paid by check, you will be reimbursed soon.

If you made reservations at the Avista Resort, you have a couple of options. You may cancel your reservations. Per their policy, you will be reimbursed, minus a cancellation fee. It is calculated as follows: the fee shall be $30.00 or 10% of the total reservation fee already paid, whichever is greater. So, if your reservation fee already paid is $300.00 or LESS, the fee will be $30.00. Any amount over $300.00 will be calculated at 10% of the reservation amount paid. Be aware the state, county and city implemented taxation on cancellation fees last year. So, a $30.00 cancellation fee will end up being about $39.00. Gotta’ love those “tax everything” people in government.

Since they are unable to waive these fees, Avista made this option available. If you would like to leave your reservations intact, you may still use them in October and Avista will honor our group rate.

You must personally call and cancel your own reservations…888-788-2775.

On behalf of your 2020 planning committee, thank you for the years of support. Let’s all look ahead to a wonderful reunion in 2021!

Stay safe and healthy,

Larry Parks,
For your 2020 Reunion Committee

June 17, 2020

We sincerely hope you are all doing well. The last several months have been a challenge, but as always, we “westsiders” will weather this storm.

There are many things in our lives that we can start and stop. One of the few things we cannot stop is time. It keeps moving forward. In this case, it’s moving toward a good thing!

Looking at the calendar, it has been 8 months since our last Harding West ‘60s Reunion at Ocean Drive. That leaves only 4 months until our 17th annual “lovefest” in October. That term is apropos, since we love one another and love getting together in a festive way each year.

We have finalized arrangements with Ducks, the #1 beach club on the Grand Strand, to host our party/reunion for the 17th year in a row. Our entertainment is booked, our deejay is booked, our photographer is booked, Friday golf is booked, our complimentary dance lessons are booked, we are set to provide a catered lunch on Tuesday. What’s missing? YOU!!

A few folks have expressed concern about attending this year. We get that. For this reason, we have had periodic discussions with Ducks’ ownership to see how things are progressing. They re-opened the café about a month ago. The club re-opened a couple of weeks ago. Ducks is strictly following South Carolina’s guidelines for venues such as theirs for the safety of their customers and employees. This will continue into the future, including during our private reunion. We do not have to worry about the public coming in for the first time in many years. And again, Ducks will observe all guidelines in place at that time.

With this knowledge, we hope you are able to make a decision with which you are at ease. Remember this. The sidewalk is available…the back patio is available…the café is available. If some of us utilize these areas, the club will be less occupied. Also, coming over during the day is another opportunity to visit and reconnect when these areas are not as busy. When things pick up, should you become uncomfortable, you might opt to relax for the rest of the evening and return the next day.

We opened online registration just over two weeks ago. A number of you have already registered and secured your spot to join us in October. You are invited to go to our website now to show your support of our reunion this year. Click on “Register and Payment”, carefully read and follow all directions to register. Your packet with name tags, etc. will be mailed in late September.

We look forward to another successful event filled with new memories! It will be better if YOU are there.

July 7, 2019

Dear friends,

We are in the second of three months during which you may pre-register for the 2019 Harding West ‘60s Reunion at Ocean Drive. A number of folks have already taken care of this and are now anxiously awaiting the arrival of October. Our 16th annual reunion officially begins on October 17th and ends on the 19th. Our host venue is still Duck’s on Main St. in Ocean Drive, SC.

You are encouraged to pre-register for several reasons. It is less expensive, at only $30.00 per person rather than $45.00 pp at the door. Each pre-registrant will have their name tags (tickets) and those of the people for whom they are registering mailed to them near the end of September. This saves time by not having to fill out a registration form and wait for your name tag(s) to be printed at the door.

Our schedule of activities is on our reunion website @ www.hardingwestreunion.myevent.com.
Go there to see what we have in store for you this year. NOTE: There are a few noticeable changes, such as the start time for photos on Saturday. Also, we have reversed the class order this year. Our barbecue lunch starts at 11:45 on Saturday, 15 minutes later than in the past. The change of times on these two activities should dramatically reduce congestion during lunch.

Duck’s is now under new ownership, as David Shaw sold the club on June 14th. Michelle Avant, who many of you know, is the general manager. We have been in touch with her and the new owners. With a few modifications, our reunions should be as enjoyable as ever.

So, don’t put off registering any longer. Just go to our website, click on “Register and Payment”, read all instructions before beginning and sign up. Remember this…during the signup process, you will need to click “Submit” a total of three times. Once to enter your information, again to confirm your information and a third time to enter your credit card information. Sorry…no debit cards. You will get an email from our web host confirming your purchase. We do not send receipts.

If you wish to pay by check, download the forms as instructed, fill them out completely and mail to the address shown.

Registration online will end on September 1st. Mail in registration must be postmarked by September 1st. After that, you will need to pay the higher amount at the door.

For those wishing to reserve accommodations at The Avista, our group code # this year is 2448930. Have this number handy when you call 1-855-710-4941 to make reservations.

If you have any questions, reply to this email or select “Contact Us” on our website.

Enjoy your summer and prepare to spend time with old friends in October. You’ll really be glad you did.

Your 2019 Reunion Committee

May 30, 2019

Hello all Harding & West ‘60s alumni!

We hope you are all enjoying the last few weeks of springtime. As summer approaches, many of us conjure up pleasant memories of heading to the beach for some rest and relaxation. Of course, the fall of the year is nice for that, too…especially October.

This year, October 17, 18, & 19 are going to be pretty special days and nights in Ocean Drive, SC. Those are the dates for the 16th annual Harding West ‘60s Reunion!! This is the reunion that everyone else wishes they could duplicate. But…it is all ours.

Beginning in 2004, the classes of the ‘60s has had a huge reunion at Duck’s Night Club in Ocean Drive. What better place to party than at the beach many of us flocked to as teenagers?

By now many of you reading this have been to one or more of these gatherings. Others, like your committee members, have become regulars, attending year after year. We have been working hard to put everything in place for another memorable experience just for you!

This year will bring some noticeable changes to our format at Duck’s. David Shaw, owner of Duck’s, has found it necessary to make a few adjustments to continue hosting us without a venue fee. Let us outline these for you.

Thursday will be the same as always. Duck’s will open at 2:00 PM so that we may begin mingling with our friends. Walk-in registration will start at 2:00 PM and continue until 5:00 PM. If you do not arrive by 5:00, you will have to register on Friday.

Duck’s will remain open for us to continue our fellowship with everyone on hand. At around 8:00 PM the public will begin to arrive. David Shaw has stated we may remain to enjoy the band which will begin at 9:00 PM.

Friday will be noticeably different than in the past. We will open walk-in registration at 11:00 AM and continue until 7:00 PM. During the day on Friday we will be entertained musically by deejay Lamar Walker. This year Lamar will be playing only ’60s music for us. He will leave the volume down so everyone can talk in Duck’s without difficulty. Other things will be on the schedule, which will be on our website soon.

A major change for Friday is Duck’s will have a band of their choosing beginning at 9:00 PM. The public will be able to come in at 8:00 PM. Depending on availability, David Shaw will try to book a band that will play ‘60s and ‘70s music for their first set. That will be until around 10:30 PM.

On Saturday we will modify our schedule somewhat. There will be NO WALK-IN REGISTRATION table on Saturday. If you wish to pay and come in on Saturday, the security person at the main entrance will assist you. You will be issued a hand written name tag and holder by that person and they will collect your money on our behalf.

Class photos will begin at 10:45 AM and end at 11:40 AM. Our catered lunch will begin at 11:45 AM until 1:45 PM at Duck’s Café. This year we will “flip the script” so that the classes of 1969 will be first in line, then classes of ’68, etc. As we wind up taking photos with the classes of 1960, very few people will be exiting the photo area. In the past the overlapping of class pics and the beginning of lunch service created a big bottleneck. We believe this change will all but eliminate the problem.  Additionally, the time between lunch and the veteran’s tribute is cut in half, to just 15 minutes.

Important Note About Lunch: Our barbecue is a catered event by an outside vendor. Duck’s has no vested interest in this. When you are served your plate, the only beverage included with it is sweet tea. Any other beverage you may wish to have will require you to order it & pay for it from Duck’s Café. Please be gracious with their staff. They are not being paid to assist us with our catered lunch.

We will wrap up our reunion Saturday night with Cat5 Bandbeginning at 8:00 PM. Read up on this band here https://cat5band.com/band At 9:30 PM, the public will be able to come into Duck’s. Many of our folks are usually gone by that time, so this will enable Duck’s to generate some revenue. David Shaw has never charged us for the use of the club. We simply cannot expect him to do this without an opportunity to meet his expenses.

Online registration will begin June 1st and will continue until September 1st. Please visit
our
website at www.hardingwestreunion.myevent.com to pre-register. All of the information you will need can be found on the site. Please read ALL of the instructions before you begin registering. If you choose to wait and pay at the door in October, you will still be required to fill out the information we need.

For those wishing to reserve accommodations at The Avista, our group code # this year is 2448930. Have this number handy when you call 1-855-710-4941 to make reservations.

Watch your emails for further updates or visit our website. We will also periodically add information to our Facebook page, “Harding West Reunion of the ‘60s”.

See you at the beach!!

September 26, 2018

To all who plan to attend the 2018 OD reunion,

As of today, September 26th, all of the packets for those who pre-registered and paid for the reunion at OD will be in the mail. Some were mailed yesterday.

When your packet arrives, please take a moment to check the contents for accuracy. You should have a name tag for each individual for whom you registered. There should be a voucher for the barbecue lunch and a voucher good for $5.00 at Duck’s café for each registered person. Finally, there should be a tri-fold schedule of activities for the entire reunion. There will NOT be one for every person, but we will have extras at the walk-in desk if more are needed.

We use ribbons attached to our name tags for several reasons. One indicates a “First-Timer”, another for “Volunteers” and yet another for our “Veterans”. If you are a “First-Timer”, a confirmed “Volunteer”, or a “Veteran” and are missing the appropriate ribbon, just see us at the walk-in desk. We can easily remedy that for you.

Upon confirming your packet is as it should be, please put it into the luggage you plan to bring to the beach. Your name tag is your ticket!! If you forget it or lose it, it will be necessary to purchase a replacement.

If you registered several people, you will need to get them their name tags before they arrive at Duck’s.

If you have any issues with your packet, let us know what you believe is not right and someone will contact you.

Your planning committee has worked hard to organize this wonderful event for your enjoyment. We look forward to seeing each of you in just three short weeks!!

Your 2018 Reunion Committee

September 18, 2018

For those planning to attend the Harding West ‘60s reunion next month, here’s an update for you.

We’re sure many are wondering how Duck’s and the Avista Resort fared with Florence last week.

David Shaw posted on Facebook that The Entertainers WILL be playing this Thursday night as scheduled. He didn’t specify what damage, if any, there was to Duck’s. But if they will be ready for this Thursday, I am sure they will be ready for our crowd a month from now!!!

We did speak with our group sales coordinator at The Avista early this morning. She indicated that their facilities are just fine. The Grand Strand area will be dealing with flooding for some days ahead along with general clean-up. However, with a month to prepare for us, I’m sure all will be in good order.

Good news for those who may have missed the deadline for booking at The Avista. The rooms allocated to us were returned to their general inventory today. The deadline was yesterday, September 17th. However, they have offered to book for any of our attendees at the group rate for the next few weeks, provided they have accommodations available. She checked the dates surrounding our reunion and there are a FEW rooms left. Once they are booked, that will be it.

So, if you want to stay there, call their reservations line at either 1-855-710-4941 or 1-877-238-4487. You MUST give them our group code # 2334925 to get our special rate. Do it soon.

One last reminder regarding the packets containing your name tags, etc. They will be mailed next week and should arrive for most of you by the first week of October. PLEASE, as soon as you receive it, verify the contents are correct. Then place it in the luggage you plan to take to the beach. Your name tag is your ticket!

Finally, you can still attend even if you haven’t already registered. Just come to our walk-in desk at Duck’s, pay the $45.00 per person rate and enjoy up to three days of fun with us.

See you all at the beach!!

Last call! Early registration for the Harding West ‘60s Reunion will be closed soon. The last day for online registration is Saturday, September 1st. The last day to mail in your early registration is Saturday, September 1st. Please do not overlook this. If you do, then you will have to pay an additional $15.00 per person at the door, plus fill out that aggravating paperwork at the door!

To register and pay by credit card, go to www.hardingwestreunion.myevent.com and select “Register & Payment” on the menu. Follow the instructions carefully. All blocks must be filled in, even if you only type “N/A”. Otherwise, the system will reject your submission until you properly complete the form. You will be asked to click “submit” a total of three times. If you do not, your submission will be rejected. An email from MyEvent.com will be sent immediately upon acceptance of your payment. This is your only acknowledgement and receipt. If you don’t receive it within a few minutes, check your SPAM or Junk folder.

If you prefer to pay by check, find the phrase Click here to download a printable Mail-in registration form”, click on it to download the form. Fill it in completely and mail it with your check to the address shown. IMPORTANT: If your form is postmarked after September 1st, it will be returned to you.

We anticipate mailing name tags to those who prepay during the last week of September. They should arrive by the end of September or very early in the first week of October. If you are not going to be at home for any reason from then until the reunion begins, let us know now. We can make other arrangements for you.

You must have your name tag to enter Ducks! If you forget yours, we will replace it, but there will be a charge. And we will check to be sure one was previously paid for before issuing a replacement.

It will be the responsibility of everyone who registers one or more guests to distribute their name tags to them prior to arriving at Ducks.

We have a full three-day weekend planned for your enjoyment. Your presence will add to it!

See y’all at the beach!! October 18 – 20, 2018

August 13, 2018

We’re very pleased that many of you recently took our advice and pre-registered for the 2018 Harding West ‘60s Reunion! The numbers are growing, which always generates more fun for everyone.

As we approach our fifteenth annual reunion at Ocean Drive, bear in mind how fortunate our two schools are to be able to do this. No one we’ve ever heard from has said, “oh, y’all are doing the same thing that such and such school(s) do every year.” Until someone tells us otherwise, we submit to you that this is a truly unique event.

If you haven’t attended before, be among the other “first-timers” who have already registered and plan to attend this year. If you are one of the many hundreds of “regulars”, but haven’t registered as yet, do it today. We do not want you to miss the September 1st deadline along with the lower cost.  Just go to our website at www.hardingwestreunion.myevent.com . Once there, select “Register & Payment” from the menu.

For those unable to commit by the 1st, come on down anyway. We’ll register you at the door. Just remember that we can only accept cash or checks at the door. No debit/credit cards.

While on our website, review the “Reunion Activities”. We have tried to give you ample time at Duck’s to meet and greet your friends on Thursday and Friday afternoon when it’s not as crowded. Also, we are working on a fun activity which will give us all a chance to have a friendly competition between Harding and West Meck. Hint: there will be no helmets or shoulder pads required. Watch for more on this later.

Again, thanks to the hundreds who’ve already registered.

See you at the beach!!

July 30, 2018

When we were kids, it seemed like time moved so much slower than today. Three months (just 90 days) of summer vacation felt like f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

Well, those days are gone. And so are 60 days of the 90 days allotted to pre-register for the 2018 Harding West ‘60s Reunion!!  That’s right. We are down to about 30 days left to take advantage of the ridiculously low price of $30.00 per person!

So, go ahead and visit our website to register online today. The September 1st deadline will be here before you know it.

You may also pay by check if that is your preference. All instructions are on our website for that method, as well.

The list of “Reunion Activities” has now been posted on our site. Though subject to change, we are confident this will be our schedule for the entire three days.

To review all newsletters for 2018, select “Newsletters” on our website.

Friends, this is our FIFTEENTH consecutive Harding West ‘60s Reunion. If you have not attended before, please consider doing so this year. We are not guaranteed tomorrow.

If you have any questions, use the “Contact Us” option on our site.
